Experiential Learning Week Events - November 24th

Hamilton   

Partners in Education breakfast.  IEC is hosting our 30th anniversary breakfast  which surrounds SHSM, 2 Provincial Partnership awards, 30 employer awards and 30 educator awards.

Thunder Bay   

Career Exploration presentation to grade 10 careers students at Marathon HS, in conjunction with parent/teacher interviews / open house night.

Toronto    

We have partnered with Toronto Catholic Board which is arranging a " A Celebration of Partnership In Delivering Experiential Learning Opportunities” event that week. This is an opportunity for TCDSB to recognize employers who are contributing valuable experiences for students. Details to follow

Waterloo

North Bay   

School Board of Trustees Presentations on P2P working in their communities.

Four County LMB   

OSCVI students will be touring Georgian College’s Pre HealthSciences program at the Owen Sound campus.

Renfrew County   

There will also be a radio/media campaign running - promoting Experieintial Learning and Take our Kids to Work Day opportuntities for Renfrew County students.

Cornwall   

We will be hosting a Coop Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, November 25th in Cornwall where all of the local schools that have a Coop program will recognize a “Champion” employer by means of a certificate of appreciation.  We will have local dignitaries and the media in attendance for the event.  This is a joint venture between Passport to Prosperity from the Upper Canada Leger Centre for Training and Education, the Upper Canada District School Board, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Training Board.
