SHSM Week February 13-17, 2012 North Bay, Ontario Download >>The First SHSM Week will take place in North Bay, February 13-17, 2012. This event is in partnership with the P2P Program, 5 local school boards, The Labour Market Group and a variety of Employers.
The event will be consist of the following events:
Monday 13th-Launch of SHSM Week in 13 High Schools and Industry tours for Hospitality and Toursim,
Business and Arts and Culture SHSM
Tuesday the 14th, Industry Tour for the Mining Manufacturing SHSM
Wednesday- SHSM Day at the Memorial Gardens- 400 grade 9&10 students will have the opportunity to participate in 27 hands on activitiessurrounding the SHSM programs, facilitated by lcoal employer champions, SHSM leads and SHSM students currently enrolled. Some of the SHSM highlighted are construction, Arts and Culture, Hisptlaity and Toursim, Energy, ICT and Business.
Thursday 14th, Mayors Employer Breakfast- 100 Employers will join the Mayor in welcoming the Education Partners and the P2P program to talk about SHSM and how they can be involved.
Ryan Porter (Authur of make your own lunch) will speak to 800 grades 10-12 on how to live a EPICALLLY EPIC life of EPICNESS and choose your own path in life.
Friday 17th- Industry tour in Muskoka at the Touchstone Resort in Muskoka for the Hospitality Tourism and Business.
